in topspin 3.5.5 and earlier, we had a setting in the plotoptions dialog that could help you to automatically set the plotting area to the maximum number of points that the machine can handle. however, if you set the max. points to 1000, you will still have a problem - topspin will still plot only the points that fall inside the plotting area. so, you can either set the max. points to 250,000, but then you will still get clipping for the points that fall outside of the plotting area, or you can set the plotting area to 250,000, but this will not automatically set the plotting area to the maximum number of points that the machine can handle, and so you will need to close and reopen the plot dialog. in topspin 4, this setting is called max. points, and it's where you set the maximum number of points that the plotter can handle.
top spin 4.0.6/4.7 provides a very small update with the added functionality of providing "full screen" when playing on a computer with fewer than two monitors. it only seems to work in the desktop version, and has a bug when installing onto my work computer that causes it to not actually be "full screen" as the bottom toolbar is still visible. this makes it very difficult to use.
it's good to see that sony has finally released a mac version of the game, but i'm not sure if it will be available on the app store. top spin 4.0.7 is available for free on the mac app store and will require macos 10.13.6 or newer.
